Tool three
Bible Path Generator
Tell us the season you are in and receive a seven-day reading journey — a passage a morning, with context, reflection, prayer, a verse to memorise, and one thing to do.
What season are you in?
About the Bible Path Generator
A path is a seven-day reading journey built around a season of life — healing, waiting, work, marriage, anxiety, grief, purpose, growth, loneliness, decision-making, forgiveness, or peace and rest. Each day carries a passage, a short piece of context, a reflection, a prayer, a memory verse and a place to note what you noticed, with progress tracked as you go.
Seven days is deliberate. It is long enough to build a habit and see a theme develop across different parts of Scripture, and short enough to finish. Most people who abandon a reading plan do so in the first fortnight of a year-long one; a week that ends is more useful than a year that does not start.
Thematic reading has a limitation worth naming. Gathering passages around a subject can lift them out of their own arguments, and the seven days here are a curated route rather than a whole book. Christians have historically read Scripture both ways — book by book and by theme — and the two work best together. If a path opens something up, the next step is to read the book a passage came from, not to find another path.
How it works
- 1.Choose the season that best describes where you are. The list covers twelve, and more than one may fit.
- 2.Work through one day at a time. Each day takes about ten minutes to read and longer if you sit with it.
- 3.Note what stood out in the space provided, and mark the day complete to track progress.
- 4.At the end of the week, read one of the books your passages came from in full.
What this is
- A finishable, structured week of reading with a clear theme.
- Context, reflection, prayer and a memory verse for each day.
- Progress tracking and notes that persist, with or without an account.
- Twelve seasons, generated so that repeat paths are not identical.
What it is not
- A complete Bible reading plan or a replacement for reading whole books.
- A promise that the season you are in will end within the week.
- Counselling or professional support for grief, anxiety or a crisis.
- A statement that these are the only passages that apply to your situation.
Common questions
- What if two seasons apply?
- Pick one and do it, then do the other. Weeks are short by design, and there is no cost to running two paths in a fortnight.
- Will I get the same path twice?
- Paths are generated, so a repeat within the same season draws on different passages rather than reprinting the previous week.
- Do I need to finish in seven consecutive days?
- No. Progress is saved, and picking a path back up after a break is normal and fine.
- Where should I go after a path?
- Read one whole book. If the path leaned on the Psalms, read fifty of them; if on Philippians, read the letter through twice in one sitting.
